Carlos Roberto Pena, Jr. (born August 15, 1989)[2] is an American actor, dancer and singer. He is best known for starring on the Nickelodeon series Big Time Rush as Carlos García.Early years
Pena was born in Columbia, Missouri.[1][3] He was raised in Weston, Florida.[2][4] He attended Sagemont Upper School.[1] His first major role was a guest shot at age 15 on ER, followed later that year by guest-starring roles on Judging Amy, Summerland, and Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide.[3][4][5][6]He appeared in local productions of Grease and Man of La Mancha.[1] He also had a role in the American Heritage School, where he attended before leaving to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career, production of Titanic.[4][6] During his run in Titanic he fell in love with singing and dancing.[4] While still in high school, Pena appeared in television commercials for the Super Soaker brand recreational water gun, and his image even appeared on the toy's packaging.[2]
Pena was studying musical theater at the Boston Conservatory when his manager urged him to audition for Big Time Rush.[2] Although he was reluctant to do so, he submitted an audition tape and won the role a month later.[2] Pena moved to Hollywood in August 2009.

Kendall Francis Schmidt (born November 2, 1990) is an American actor and singer. He is best known for playing as Kendall Knight from Big Time Rush. Kendall is the star of Nickelodeon's hit live-action show, Big Time Rush as Kendall Knight, a 16 year old hockey player from Minnesota. Early life
He was born in Wichita, Kansas to Kent and Kathy Schmidt. He is the youngest of three. His brothers are Kenneth Schmidt and Kevin Schmidt who starred in hit films, Cheaper by the Dozen, Cheaper By The Dozen 2 and Princess Protection Program. Schmidt started singing at the age of 5.
Career
Schmidt began his acting career at age six, appearing in a Chex television commercial. When he was 10 years old, he was one of three young actors who was hired to be Haley Joel Osment's stand-in and body double (they shared the same agent) in the Steven Spielberg film, A.I. Artificial Intelligence.[1] He celebrated his birthday on the set, and Spielberg and the cast surprised him with a birthday cake decorated with Star Wars figures.[1]
In mid 2009, Schmidt was cast in the Nickelodeon series Big Time Rush as one of the four main characters, Kendall Knight. The show premiered to a record breaking 7.1 million total viewers, making it the highest rated premiere for a live action series in Nick history.
Heffron Drive
Besides being in Big Time Rush, Schmidt is also in a band called Heffron Drive with fellow actor and singer Dustin Belt. The duo have released numerous singles such as 'Love Letter' and 'Stand Forever'. Belt currently plays the guitar for Big Time Rush.

Big Time Rush is an American pop singing group that formed in 2009. The band consists of Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow, Carlos Pena, Jr., and Logan Henderson, all on vocals. Kendall plays character "Kendall Knight", leader of the group. In the show he hadn't even thought of persuing a career in singing, as he wanted to play hockey. He soon found him self given the opportunity of a life time and agreed to go through with it only if his friends could join him in forming a band. And so the journey begins.

James David Maslow (born May 12, 1990) is an American actor, singer and dancer. He is best known for playing the role of James Diamond onNickelodeon's Big Time Rush, and is a member of the boy music group with the same name.
Early life
Maslow was born in New York, and raised in La Jolla, California.[1][2] In 1996, Maslow began training as a singer at the age of 6 when his parents made him sing in the San Diego Children's Choir.[1][3] He attended La Jolla and Torrey Pines elementary schools, Muirlands Middle School, and San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts[3] He had a small role in the San Diego Opera's production of La bohème when he was 10 years old.[3][4][5] He attended acting camp at the La Jolla Playhouse, got his first agent when he was 14, and as Marius in Les Misérables.[3] He quit the School of Creative and Performing Arts mid-way through the 10th grade and switched to Coronado School of the Arts (CoSA). He graduated from CoSA in 2007 in the musical theater department.[3]

Big Time Rush

Big Time Rush is an American pop singing group that formed in 2009. The band consists of Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow, Carlos Pena, Jr., and Logan Henderson, all on vocals. In 2007, Nickelodeon was casting and looking for people to be in a new band to be in a new sitcom called Big Time Rush. Maslow sent in his audition tape when his desire was in singing and acting. He got the role of James Diamond 2 years later. Kendall Schmidt won the role of Kendall Knight over many other people because of the difficult decision of casting him over others. Carlos Pena, Jr. and Logan Henderson sent in their audition tapes and were accepted to be Carlos Garcia and Logan Mitchell over thousands of other boys.[6]
The boys have recorded many songs including the theme song of the same title as the show, "Any Kind Of Guy", "City Is Ours", "Halfway There", "Famous", "Shot in the Dark", and "Stuck". Additional songs will be released throughout the show's first season. They and Nickelodeon are planning on releasing an album of songs from the first season of the show including some new ones. The album was released on October 11, 2010 selling 67,000 copies in it's first week. In April 2011, 6 months after the release the album was certified Gold by the RIAA for sales of over 500,000 copies in the U.S.

Other Projects
Shortly after working on Big Time Rush. Maslow began forgoing into different projects outside of Big Time Rush. With him first appearing in a UrFrenz episode playing the character of Brandon. He expanded further by going onto film projects, with the 2011 movie Master's Tree which is due out sometime in 2011. Also, a currently unknown film works project of his is set to be release in early 2012. Maslow has said that he would like to work on more film projects in the future.

He has a scar on his elbow, which he received while performing a hockey-related stunt for the first episode of Big Time Rush.[7]
Maslow is Jewish.[8] In an interview with Clevver TV, when asked his favorite holiday, he replied Hannukah.[9] Also in an interview with "Goom Radio" he said that he was Jewish.[10]
